Fearlessly Communicating and Talking with Confidence ( Free Book Extract )

1 1 Comment »

I’m going to start off by telling you about the problems I had in communicating confidently. I haven’t seen much variation between people who lack confidence when talking with others so if you’re short in the confidence department or just want to have more confidence in your conversations, you’ll definitely be able to relate and learn from my experience. You do not need to go through life lacking confidence and feeling dominated by others and situations. From an early age, I was always the quiet boy. I’d sit in school knowing the answers to a question but would be too afraid to answer. I couldn’t talk to someone new. I wouldn’t look someone in the
eyes if they looked back at me and I’d hardly argue with anyone. Yes arguing is a bad thing, but I avoided arguing not because it was the right thing to do, but because I was too afraid to speak up and voice my opinion. I was passive and un confident letting people verbally trample over me. Being so passively accepting like I was is dangerous for your mental health. You can probably see that talking with
confidence is strongly related to assertive communication. I’ll try to stick to the confidence side of things as you can read more about assertion in the assertive skills section.…. Download free copy and read more…

Relief from Anxiety,Phobias and Depression through Reading?

Creative slutions to Nervous suffering No Comments »

Do you want to get relief from depression, phobias and anxieties through Reading? It is nothing but undergoing drug-free Psychotherapy through reading certain books. Have you ever heard about Dr. Claire Weekes and Dr.David Burns? Dr Claire wrote the following self-help therapy books:

1. Help and hope for your nerves
2. More help for your nerves
3. Peace from nervous suffering

Dr.David Burns wrote ‘Feeling Good’ – treatment of Depression without drugs and a new MOOD Therapy.

Especially, when we start reading Dr.Claires books, we get relief from the fact that nervous disorders are shown from a different angle terming them as ‘Sensitisation of Nerves’. The feelings one experiences due to the nervous sensitization are a trifle more in those treated as patients. In normal individuals these feelings are present to a manageable degree. With this definition, the Stigma attached to the term DEPRESSION is removed.

Each chapter would lead the reader step by step to a wonderful world of peace and normalcy from nervous sufferings  one by one to glimpse of complete normalcy. For the first time the reader feel like working on himself towards happy living. The chronics need to d repeat readings. Mild sufferers would get relieved in one or two readings itself.

After going through the books we would be given to the understanding that nervous suffering is just the invisible version of physical suffering.

While any kind of physical suffering is approved socially without any STIGMA attached to it. We are heading for times when nervous ills are also recognised without any apprehension and they would soon be identified as ‘common disorders’. This is more so in the developing countries where these nervous disorders are suppressed and blocked from open discussion.
